Where can ListenUP
be used?
ListenUP
can be used as part of their Personal
Development, Character Development, Health, Life Skills, or
Personal
Care lessons at your school.
In Secondary Schools -
Advisory/Homeroom/Form/Tute periods are also ideal classes to use ListenUP in because of the lower
student to teacher ratios which helps teaching staff and students
get to know each other on a more personal level.
ListenUP can also be integrated into the general
curriculum through subjects areas like English, Health, Society and
the Environment, Physical Education, Science, Math, and Creative
Arts/Drama.
Even though ListenUP has be primarily developed for use in a
classroom setting, it has also been successfully implemented by
youth group leaders, in student council/government situations, in
leadership courses, and on a one-to-one basis with individual ‘at
risk’ students.

lessons over several weeks or over one or two days
in an intensive format.

What age groups can I use
ListenUP with?
There are
2 different editions of ListenUP - Primary
and Secondary
The Primary School
edition has been developed for use with students aged 8
onwards.
The
Secondary
School edition has been developed for use with students
aged 12 to 16.
Each edition contains
age appropriate lesson plans,
activities, extended content, handouts, and other time saving
resources.
We are also currently in the
process of developing a Lower Primary edition of ListenUP for
students aged 5-8. It will be available mid 2009.
